What is Therapy?

 

Therapy by definition is treatment intended to relieve or heal. 

 

Goodtherapy.org defines psychotherapy as the process meeting wtih a therapist with the intent of resolving problematic behaviors, beliefs or feelings. 

 

Why do I need it?

 

Identifying that you would benefit from therapy does not make you "crazy". According to goodtherapy.org the most common therapy goers include everyday, ordinary people who are struggling with everyday human problems:

*depression

*anxiety

*trauma

*relationship issues

*family issues

*phase of life issues

*self esteem

How much does it cost?

 

Finding the right therapist is not an easy task and taking the first step may be a difficult process. However, a free confidential consultation may help you with this process. The phone consultation is an opportunity for you to chat with me for 15-30 minutes about my services and how they may fit your individual, or family therapy needs.

 

I provide therapy on a fee for service basis. Currently my fee is $40-$60 per hour. I offer sliding scale payment options for those who may qualify. Payment is due at the start of the therapy session.

 

If you miss your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session as booked.
